Holidaying and the Growing Season Approaches
Well, we’re back from our wonderful holiday in Wales. We toured the Coast in just under two weeks in our campervan Avril. Avril doubles up as the delivery van, during working weeks. Taking holidays when self employed is both easy, and difficult at the same time. You’ve nobody to answer to to take the time off, but nobody will carry on your work when you’re away! So apologies for the silence. I’m back now, ready and raring to go.
The growing season is ahead of us. Little sweet pea sprigs are slowly working their way upwards, and I’m reading “50 Ways to Kill a Slug” again and again and again, to get rid of the little blighters, and give my flowers a fighting chance. I’ll be growing a lot more of the flowers in bouquets this year than last, and I’m looking forward to the Summer, when there are plenty of bouquets with requirements for gorgeous home grown sweet peas, scabiosa, cosmos, poppies, cornflowers, lavender and more.
Anyway, here’s a few fun pictures of some of the things we got up to. Everyone needs a break sometimes to refresh their spirits.
