20 Month Old Wander in the Woodland

It was a chilly, damp day for a family walk in the country grounds of Old Durham, but this outgoing family seemed to enjoy it! The little man here is 20 months old, and was one of the first baby photoshoots I took! You can see how he’s grown if you take a look at the previous post, here: http://floralfootsteps.com/2011/10/12/baby-face-youve-got-the-cutest-little-baby-face/

Here you can take a look through our little outing, accompanied by friends Pooh-bear and the very important ball, and add your own captions to the priceless facial expressions!

Pretty Little Thing

What a gorgeous smiling girl this little one is!  You may recognise her from her Santa outfit back in December… and now she’s back, having grown three marvellous teeth and become even prettier and smilier. (Although she knows how to pull a good grumpy face – scroll down to see a great expression captured on camera!)

This lovely little girl was again, a complete delight to photograph and hilariously much more interested in my husband’s ginger beard than in bunny rabbits…

Too Good in Black & White

Here’s a little love story for Valentine’s day….  A couple of friends of mine recently had a beautiful baby boy.  They were one of my first couples for wedding floristry and photography too, so it was a delight to photograph them in this next stage of life, and boy, are they easy to photograph.  Their love for their little boy was so genuine and sweet.  My favourites from the photoshoot were all black&whites, this couple both really suit them.

This first photograph was my very favourite, I think.  I love the way his little son is staring straight back at him, with his fingers on his chin, just having a little ponder!

The patterns of hair on the baby’s head were just beautiful.

He was one of the most observent little babies I’ve ever met!  At just a week old, his eyes were darting around, taking in all the people, the  room, everything.

Isn’t it amazing when a person’s body is small enough to fit in the arms of a grown-up?

The couple were so happy, and relatively peaceful when I went to see them – it was lovely to spend time with them.  See what I mean about looking good in Black&White?!

Brand new Grandma was staying with the couple to help out.

At this point, ‘the little man’ as he is affectionately known, was relatively happy being passed from person to person.  He was quite happy being photographed, and as soon as we finished, he was a little grumpy…

Happy Valentine’s day!

Baby Mine: Newborn Baby Photos At Home in Durham

It was such a privilege to spend time with these brand new parents, clutching their week old Baby boy.  I was so touched by this photoshoot with them, that I literally stared at these photos for hours when I got home.  Life is just incredible.  From tiny little cells, miniature people grow.  Wow.

I hope you enjoy the following photos and marvel at his new life, just like I did.

Stripy Ski Outfits and Gorgeous Grins

A couple of weeks ago I met the parents of this little boy for a photoshoot in Durham City.  He’s just 12 months old, and has a gorgeous grin, as well as very long pretty eyelashes! I took plenty of photos in their home, then we went outside in the garden, and they dressed the little one in a fantastic stripy ski suit.  I love it!  The ski suit added such vibrancy and fun to the photos and really helped capture this little boy’s personality.

Here’s a few snapshots from the shoot, but again, it’s only a glimpse of the near 300 photos the family received on disc.  You can see plenty more of this photoshoot on this portfolio link.

He was rather a fan of pulling books off the bookshelf too…

If you like what you see here and are interested in your own informal baby or family photoshoot in your own home, then feel free to get in contact via the contact page, which will send an email to Robyn directly.

Brown Eyed Boy

This gorgeous baby has his very own fan page on Facebook!  He’s classed as an “entertainer”, and I’d confidently confirm that he certainly is!  His deep brown eyes are beautiful, and he can pull a fantastic array of hilarious faces (not all of which were particularly flattering, so I didn’t post them below…)

The photos below show a range of outfits – first Christmas onesies, very cute stripy t-shirts and hats with teenie tiny ears.

The parents are both very musical, so this wee one has been educated from a young age, with a kazoo and a miniature drum.

Mother’s “Emergency Cup of Coffee”… (I quote!)

Father and Son, with equally silly *awesome* hats.

Oops, it seems the baby grew an accidental moustache in this picture…

Babies, Autumn Leaves and Adorable Hats

This gorgeous little one was a pleasure to photograph, despite a clear desire to stick her tongue out as much as she possibly could!  She was photographed with her Mum, Dad and Granny at their home in Durham, and just outside the front door, too, where there was a pleasingly large pile of leaves, and she got to wear a VERY cute hat.  Scroll down to have a look!

“Hands Up In the Air!” was one of her favourite tricks.

I completely adore windswept photographs, so much movement.

Plonked in a pile of leaves…
Probably best you don’t eat that….
Precious Mummy – Baby time.

They make russian hats in cute baby size!  Awh!

Looking gorgeous in black&white too.
Eat your heart out Audrey Hepburn.
Busy collecting leaves.

Santa Baby

Wow, I can’t remember when I last left it this long to blog!  Sorry folks, I didn’t mean to abandon you.  Sometimes, Christmas centred activities can make your blogging diminish….

However, I’m back!  Ready to share with you the beautiful people I encounter, have a chance to photograph, illustrate and create beautiful floral designs for.  So here’s one family with their beautiful daughter in a (slightly tacky) Santa outfit (they won’t mind me saying that…), who is so gorgeous, she makes the Santa outfit look utterly adorable!  Don’t you agree?

Blue Eyed Baby

What a cutie pie this little one is!  He has the biggest, blue eyes, such clear and beautiful irises, that every photo of him just looks gorgeous.  His cheeky smile at 5 months made me smile for hours whilst editing his photos.  This wonderful new family seem very happy indeed.

These photos were taken at the family’s home, and a few of the shots of wee Caleb were photographed on a colourful quilt, made by Custard Bean.  With the quilt and vibrant clothes and other toys in Caleb’s life, I’ve decided to show you photos with special colour filters on, to emphasise the ‘zingyness’.  Parents and families always receive full copies of the original images, in addition to any edited or effect ones.

Enjoy Caleb’s wonderful expressions and beautifully clear eyes, and don’t forget to add comments on the end if you have any!

This shot is one of my particular favourites…
