This gorgeous family have lived in the UK for three or four years, but are originally from the States.  I’m in contact with quite a few American families making their home in the UK for a few years, and it seems that making a ‘home’ in a place that’s initially unfamiliar is sometimes difficult and emotional.  As it is with any of us, when we move anywhere I think.  Few people can easily adjust to new places.  This family have been here for a while and call the UK their ‘Home’, but I think I’m right in saying they all look forward to returning to their motherland some day, and as they are friends of mine, I’ll be very sad when this happens!

On the day of this photoshoot, we explored their home, nearby parks and a very favourite spot of theirs – a relatively undiscovered beach on the North East Coast near Hartlepool, where they’re based.  I hope you enjoy browsing these fun family shots, full of smiles, laughter, energy and sunshine.  And, a glimpse of their current ‘Home’.

For some reason, when we had finished the photography shoot, they had a little party on the beach…
