Rich & Harri’s woodlandy inspired wedding in Durham was a real treat to photograph. Not only are the bride and groom gorgeous, but all the perfect little details designed by the couple put their own unique stamp on the day. The bouquets were divine! Durham is my second home; my husband and I lived there for nearly 10 years. It’s where we met and both went to University, and spent the first few years of our marriage in these happy hills, so it’s a very special place to us, also. I knew Harri & Rich from my Durham days, so it was lovely to take a trip back up North for their wedding.
Harri and her bridesmaids got ready at her parents house, before travelling to Durham for the ceremony.
The ceremony took place at St Giles Church in Durham, and the downpour just before the service didn’t put anybody off one bit!
Harri, Rich & I did a little walk around the many hills of Durham, along the riverbank and into a nearby wood (where I used to walk my dog, so it was very familiar to me!)
The beautiful reception was based at St Hild & St Bede college in Durham, and Harri had decorated and designed the room herself with her own illustrations. Stunning!
